Design Studio 8.2

Eclipse-based implementation of the Type Designer and the Map Designer

WebSphere Transformation Extender map deployment for WebSphere Message Broker :

WebSphere Transformation Extender 8.2 also adds a new deployment option to support WebSphere Message Broker. You can now generate a MAR file, which packages all the related artifacts into one file. After this file is created, it can be included inside the WebSphere Message Broker BAR deployment file. The single archive file simplifies the management of map dependencies.

Native schema support

With this release, maps can now use schemas directly as input or output cards. In prior WebSphere Transformation Extender releases, if you wanted to use schemas with the product, you were required to use the XML Schema Importer to create type trees.

To use this feature, select a .XSD file instead of a .MTT file from within the map editing tools.

The XML Schema Importer is still available if you prefer to continue to use type trees instead.

WebSphere adapters

There are five additional WebSphere adapters you can use:

  1.  WebSphere EMail
  2.  WebSphere FTP
  3.  WebSphere PeopleSoft (for the IBM WebSphere Transformation Extender Pack for PeopleSoft)
  4.  WebSphere SAP QISS (for the IBM WebSphere Transformation Extender Pack for SAP R/3)
  5.  WebSphere Siebel (for the IBM WebSphere Transformation Extender Pack for Siebel)
